Alderich assumed leadership of Polywerp, after the death of Justice the Beholder, and later was officially elected as Lord by the City Council.  In order to combat the increasingly dangerous world, Alderich created the Polywerp Protection Plan and a secret police known as 'The Polywerp Guardians" led by Captain Barnoles, to carry out his will.

Though it is well known that Alderich's views are similar to those of Slywind Reserve, he is not considered to be as extreme, and he is not an official member of CTP.

In addition to being Lord of Polywerp, Alderich heads The Paladin Order.
