Johann, although born in Germany, has lived in Southern California most of his life.  Like any typical 12-year-old he has no school during the summer, and so his parents, who'd rather not deal with him doing nothing but play video games all summer, have sent him to Camp Mosquito.

 

According to The Polywerp Times, Johann has been missing since he visited the camp.
