Abd al-Shaytan is, in fact, this wicked Dread Lord's self-dubbed title, not his name.  His true identity is unknown to all, even his apprentice Drake whom he sends to hunt down Datton in "Lad of the Dead".  Although Abd al-Shaytan's plans are not entirely clear to Datton and his friends, one thing is sure: he's up to no good!
