Hissmouth, from a dimension different than Chase, starting playing Creepymon GOTYU the moment is become available.  Like many others, he was lured into the Creepy Dimension while playing the game.

 

Terrapole was the one who pulled Hissmouth into the Creepy Dimension.  The titan recruited the catman to be a soldier in his army.  Hissmouth agreed but, that night, stole several Creepymon balls from Terrapole and fled to Belle Woods (aka Newbie Woods).  The cat man was thrilled when he realized the Creepymon world and creatures were real and he has been hunting, capturing, and training creatures in Belle Woods since.
