Niklas is an orphan living in White Rock, one of the larger cities in the north.  He is street smart and has spent much of his life stealing to get what he needs to survive.  Recently, he has become a target of the White Rock Thieves' Guild who expect him to pay a 'tax' for the privilege to steal in their territory.
