Some changes have been made to the Lads in Distress forum!

Basic philosophy -- I would like this forum to be welcoming to people with varying levels of tolerance and enjoyability. While I personally make pretty extreme comics (in terms of violence), I know some prefer their LiD to be "softer". Just as my comics are divided into three ratings (Mild, Medium, and Savage) so can the forum.

"Mild Side"
This category of subforums is meant for lighter, softer LiD. No gore, blood, violence, death, or impending doom allowed. If the image has a monster, better to put in the "Lads in Distress" or "Savage Camp" section. You DO need to be a member, but do NOT need special permission to access this area.
Examples
Themes: Tied-up, kidnapped, hypnotized -- but always escape or rescued by the end
Comics: "I, Boybot", and "Kyle and Brett" series

"Lads in Distress"
This is the MAIN section, which essentially was "Members" in the past. As before, I expect the vast majority of content to go into these subforums. This is essentially the "medium-rated" section. Death/killing IS allowed so long as it's not shown (or written) in graphic detail. You DO need to be a member, but do NOT need special permission to access this area.
Examples
Themes: Attacked by monsters, impending doom, swallowed whole (no blood)
Comics: the "medium" versions of "Little Crop of Twerps", "Dinodopia Park 3", and "The Glob"
(note: I will still be promoting all my comics in this section)

"Savage Lands"
These subforums are meant for all you blood-thirsty maniacs! It's the same as before, except now there are more sections such as "Brutal Discussion" which is essentially the General Chat for gore, and the "Library of Horror" meant for stories with graphically-detailed death scenes. You DO need to be a member AND you need to specifically request access (it is automatic and instantaneous). To join, click on User Control Panel (up top), click Usergroups, then select "Gore Permission".
Examples
Themes: Murder, chomped (with blood/gore), extreme violence
Comics: pretty much all of them ::voonder::

Other notable changes:
"Camp Mosquito" and "Hunting Grounds" were not really being used so their few posts have been merged into "The Pit" and "The Pit" has been moved into "Lads in Distress" (formerly "Members"). There is no longer a "Wild Lands" section. The rules for "The Pit" remain exactly the same.

"Members" is now called "Lads in Distress"

"Wunder Lore" is now called "Wunder Comics"

"New Arrivals" is meant for ORIGINAL CONTENT, be it comics, images, or videos. If you FIND it you need to post it in "Webfinds and Multimedia", instead.

The "Videos" section was removed (all of its posts were moved into "Webfinds and Multimedia")

"Art Archives" renamed to "Archives"

When in doubt, feel free to ask me.

On a more serious note, what about creatures and critters not out to maim

Perhaps a fiendish tickle monster for instance.

They are welcome in the new "Mild Side" (so long as they don't munch the lad when they are done).
