I have an avatar that I want to use, but I don't know how to resize it down to the KB size it's asking for. I can reduce the pixels but not the actual file size. Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks!

It has to do with how you save it. Be sure to save as a jpeg and not a bmp. When you save as a jpeg, most programs will ask for a quality, usually between 1-10. Staying around 7-8 is about right for making the file a reasonable size without losing quality.
