Trivia

When I started making Trick 10, I planned out, roughly, the next 5 Halloween comics.

The plan was to introduce a new witch in Tricks 10, 11, and 12, then in Trick 13, the witch Colter

would return and there'd be a witch battle with all of these witches joining forces against her.

Trick 13 was meant to be a bit of a finale for all of the stories built up over the years.

Trick 14 was meant to be the "post witch war" / "post numerology" comic and shift focus to a new witch who practiced Voodoo.

Most of these ideas played out, except Trick 13's idea of the witch battle was postponed 'til Trick 17

to allow me more time to create new witches.

Trick or Eat 10 was of several Tricks to play with numerology.

Tricks 11, 12, 13 also do this, and, to a lesser extent, so do Trick 15 and 16.

In Trick 10, the number 10 (or X) shows several times....

Dixon and Felix each have an "X" in their name.  X, of course, being the Roman Numeral for 10.

Dixon and Felix each have 5 letters in their names, adding to a total of 10 letters.

Baba Yaga demands the Blood Flower by 10 PM.

There is an X on Dixon's costume -- the bunny nose.

Felix also has an "X" on his nose.

Dixon is hanging in an "X" shape.

The Blood Willow Witch starts her feast at 10:10 PM.

Both the words "Blood" and "Willow" have an "lo" which looks like 10.

Sinister Swarm was also the first comic I created with my left hand.

I am left-handed but prior to Sinister Swarm I had always used my right hand for my mouse.

Coincidentally, the word 'sinister' once meant left.

As with other comics from 2012, the save files for Trick or Eat 10 are lost, meaning any future edits I do can only be done on top of the finalized pages.

This also means the editable versions of the covers and logo are lost.

Trick 10 is one of the few Halloween comics in which someone goes Trick or Treating.

As of the making of this commentary, it the most recent to do so.

Alternate Cover

An alternate cover was made during this comic's creation in 2012.

I ended up not using this version to hide the new witch's appearance.

It was given to readers who found Blackmoon.
