The Red Eagles jingle is a bit of a mimic of KFC commercials from the 80s ("We Do Chicken Right").

It's probably obvious enough, but this comic is a criticism of

"conversion therapy" and, to a lesser degree, faux patriotism.

Red Eagles is the best-selling Wundercomic of Phase 3.

No comic has sold as many copies since Red Eagles.

Oliver mysteriously "escapes" his cell toward the end of the comic.

In a later comic we discover that he was teleported into the Dungeon of Despair.
