The zombies comic was planned about a year in advance and main character, Hunter, was introduced and built up in two earlier comics.

In "Blood on a Scarecrow" the farm boy makes a pact with Samhain.

It is Samhain who commands his minion, Saint Accald, to raise the zombies to go after Hunter and his friends.

Hunter is also seen, briefly, in Easter Feaster along with Jason who will also later be attacked by the zombies.

The Choir is singing Ode to Joy.  While it may not be the best choice for a funeral, the idea was

to show off their singing talent in memory of Elder Paco.
