Historically, orcs have generally been considered savage
war-mongering brutes, and to this day, many still are.
However, like their very distant cousin, man, orcs are varied in
culture and philosophy.
Though
they may be in the minority, civilized orcs tend to leave their
war-torn lands to find a peaceful life in the multi-cultured city of
Polywerp. Their migration to
Polywerp certainly offers resistance from extremists groups like
CTP who much prefer they are kept out,
arguing they only bring crime and poverty. The vast majority
of orcs living in Polywerp take jobs in the factories and live in
the slums, while a few of the more educated orcs seek better
opportunities, though are rarely offered high-paying careers.
CONTROVERSY!
After photographs were released by The Polywerp Times of orcs enslaved to dig up crystals in the Tukwillow Mine, Lord Alderich's approval rating dropped and sympathy for orc rights increased.
