the secretive police force known as 'The Polywerp Guardians', led by
Barnoles, are charged with
finding and arresting or killing those declared to be 'enemies of
virtue'.
After the fall of
Lord
Alderich,
the Polywerp Guardians no longer exist, at least not officially,
though some believe they operate in secret.
